Today on the Pakistani Kitchen Blog, we're making charseu chicken, a simple roasted chicken marinated in a flavorful, sweet sticky sauce.perfection This is one of my favorite roasted vegetables in the oven.Sure, it's one of the best chicken dishes of all time.
Let's get started.
Let's start by making the marinade for the chicken. Chicken I'm using a bowl here, but you could
use anything. Ziploc bags are a great way to save money. One tablespoon of soy sauce (mild) Oyster sauce (one spoonful) You can use one tablespoon of duck soy sauce. Use ketchup manis or
sweet soy sauce as well. sauce in addition to the sticky and sweet in Charissio
We're going to add a tablespoon of honey. 2 tablespoons brown sugar We're going to add a teaspoon of Chinese 1/2 a teaspoon of white pepper and five spice powder This is one tablespoon of a blended
ginger and garlic paste, which is basically equal amounts of garlic to ginger, so about two cloves of garlic to about an inch of ginger if you buy chaas from the store, it has this characteristic attractive red color, so I'm also adding a red food coloring to mine, but this is totally optional okay I usually do not add the extra food coloring to this anyway give all of that a nice mix and then we're ready to add our chicken I Chicken thighs can also be used.
I find that using these parts of the chicken is a lot more forgiving in the oven than using chicken breasts, which can tend to dry out, but you can use them if you like. Of course, rub the marinade all over the chicken and massage it in. You want to make sure that the chicken is completely submerged in the marinade. Then we leave these two marinades in the fridge for at least two hours, or overnight is best.
In the meantime, save the leftover marinade in a saucepan and cook it up over low heat until it's nice and bubbly and thick like this: that's your charisiu sauce. Use this as a dipping sauce for your chaas
chicken later, or drizzle it over the rice anyhow after approximately 20 minutes, and voilĂ ! Our charity chicken has been completed. My favorite way to have charity chicken is with chicken
rice, which you can find a link to here or down below, and we're done. So give this sweet, sticky, savory chicken a try. It's super quick and takes no time to prepare if you don't count the marinating time. So yeah, try it bye.
